Phillip W. Lenke
My name is Phillip Lenke. I am a 44 year old Navy Seabee Veteran and part owner of a small Die shop. My wife Sheila and I have been married for 22 years. We have 4 children in their late teens.
I am an avid hunter of waterfowl and upland game birds of which I
also enjoy raising and carving. North American waterfowl such as
Trumpeter Swans and upland game birds make up my aviary.
In January of 2005, my wife and I purchased our first Cub, a
1949 rescue. This is where the fun started and the fever of the Cub
restoration project began. As a family we were instantly hooked. We
have met many great folks and have enjoyed spending time sharing
stories. A great surprise was to stumble upon the Cub Forum one day
while I was on the Internet.
The Cub Forum offers a wide variety of interesting conversations regarding how to restore; where to find parts; diagnosis of
a particular problem and encouragement from others. While restoring my own Cub, I came across a few situations where it was difficult to find parts that I needed. Rubber parts, such as light wire and spark plug wire holder grommets were nonexistent as well as a cleaner looking
Zenith Carburetor Adaptor. A desire to keep the parts as original as
possible inspired me to create a design and molded parts. Many Cub
friends have tried the prototypes and have found them to be functional
and highly exceptional.
Today, I have sold many grommet sets and carb adaptors across
the United States. This could not have been possible without the support and encouragement from so many folks on the Forum.
Thanks, Phil Lenke
